Main tasks of the University
- Satisfaction of the individual’s needs for intellectual, cultural, physical, and moral development through receiving of higher and post-graduate education on the basis of indissoluble unity of educational process and scientific research;
- Satisfaction of the society’s needs in qualified professionals with higher education, who combine deep professional knowledge with high culture and civil activity, with means of realization educational programs on higher, pre-university, additional and other kinds of education in the field of natural, humanitarian, and technical sciences;
- Organization and realization of fundamental and applied scientific researches directed towards the solution of economic, scientific, and social problems, assistance in taking roots of the researches into practice, realizations international, republican, and regional scientific, scientific-practical conferences, symposiums, and expertise;
- Assistance in dissemination of scientific knowledge among the population, maintaining and strengthening of the University’s authority as a center of science, culture, and education in the region and in the city;
- Carrying out the activities directed towards the University’s joining of the global scientific and educational sphere, development of international connections and strengthening of the University’s authority;
- Education of scientific-pedagogical specialists, candidates, and students on the basis of common to all mankind values, high civic consciousness, respect to national traditions and rights of other people.
